Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2008 BMW X5

Today on our 2008 BMW X5, we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine rooftop cargo box, measuring 11 cubic feet, in matte black, part number TH613. With the Thule AeroBlade Edge roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We'll want to keep in mind that since it's a long box, we want to make sure that we have the box situated as far forward on our roof rack as possible. This will give us the most room when trying to access our rear hatch. With our cargo box on our load bars, we'll go ahead and open our cargo box, take our clamps, feed them through the appropriate slots, making sure that the feet of our clamps go around the load bar. Once we have them in place, we can tighten the clamps by tightening the hand knobs. more

Today on our 2008 BMW X5, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 22 cubic feet in metallic silver, part number TH636S. With the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the Sonic directly on to our load bars. Since the feet are already hanging out at the bottom of the box, well adjust them as necessary to fit around our load bars. Were going to go ahead and set our box as far forward as possible, that way well have more access when opening our rear hatch and getting in to our cargo area. With our box situated, well open the passenger side of the box and tighten down the two clamps on the side by tightening the hand knob. Youll know that they are tight when you start hearing a clicking or ratcheting sound. more

Today on our 2008 BMW X5, well be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 16 cubic feet in matte black, part number TH615. With a Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the Thule Pulse directly on to our load bars. Once we have a situated the way we prefer, well open the box, place our clamps to the appropriate plot, they can sure that the feet go around our load bars. Once we have those in place, we can tighten down the hand knobs to secure our feet around our bars. Once we have all four feet tight, our box is secured to our roof rack, were all ready to go. Now, well go to the rear and open our rear hatch. more

With the feet already hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our front and rear load bar. Were going to go ahead and set our box as far forward as it will go, that way well have plenty of room in opening our rear hatch. With our feet around our bars, well open the passenger side of the box and tighten down the two hand knobs on this side. One of the great features of the Thule Force is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2008 BMW X5, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet in aeroskin black, part number TH624. With the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Force directly on to our load bars. With the feet already hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as needed to fit around our load bars while loading. Once we have it in place, we'll open the passenger side of the box and tighten down the two clamps on this side by twisting the hand knob. One of the greatest features of this box is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. Once we have the two clamps tight on this side, we'll move to the driver side, open the box and tighten down the two remaining clamps. more

Today on our 2013 BMW X5 we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, 11 Cubic Feet in Matte Black, part number th613. With the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack System already assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars.Once we it have positioned where we like then we can open the box up and take our clamps and fit them through the appropriate slots making sure that the feet go around our load bars. We'll then use the hand knob on each clamp to tighten the feet. Once we've tighten all four clamps we're ready to start loading up our gear. With this particular vehicle and this cargo box we set the cargo box to as far forward towards the front of the vehicle as it would go.This gave us full access to our rear hatch without making contact with the rear of our cargo box. That completes today's test fit of the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th613 on our 2013 BMW X5.. more

Today on our 2013 BMW X5 we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, 13 Cubic Feet in Aeroskin Black, part number th624. With the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack System assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out the bottom of the box we'll go ahead and make sure that they fit around the front and rear load bar.Once we have it positioned onto our roof rack the way we prefer we can then open one side of the cargo box and use the hand knobs attached to the feet to tighten them down. One of the great features of this cargo box is its ability to open from both sides of the vehicle. Now we'll move to the other side, open it up and use the hand knobs to tighten down the feet.With everything tight and secure our box is now installed and we're ready to start loading up our gear. When accessing our rear hatch door we can open it without it making contact with our cargo box. more
